The training took month and was focused on customer service excellence, housekeeping staff, food & beverage service including waiters and bartenders, hosting and guiding.
Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge
Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge is situated 70km north of Dar es Salaam and accessed from Mbegani Fisheries Institute. The lodge is only accessed by boat. The lodge features 12 en-suite beach bandas with twin or double beds, and an upstairs ‘loft’ with two twin beds, ideal for older children. Each spacious banda has both an upstairs balcony and a porch with unimpeded sea views and access straight on to the beach. Ideal for honeymooners and people who enjoy a quiet environment. Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge is near Bagamoyo.
Ruaha River Lodge
Ruaha River Lodge is situated in Ruaha National Park. Set on one of the most stunning stretches of the Great Ruaha River, you can see game throughout the day from the comfort of your veranda; there can surely be few other camps as perfectly situated. Ruaha is split across two locations, with one dining banda along the river, and the other perched high on a nearby kopje, offering a completely different perspective.
Ruaha River lodge is the only ‘lodge’ in the Ruaha, consisting of 24 stone chalets stretching along the river bank.
Each chalet has stunning views from a large veranda out the front, while the huge interiors feature a sitting area, writing desk and either twin or double beds. At the rear of each chalet is a large bathroom decorated with found timber, a shower and double basins.
This lodge is suitable for someone who wants to experience an African safari at it’s best! Wildlife roams around the lodge any time. You will most probably see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, etc from your chalet.
Vuma Hills Tented Camp
Nestled in the forests of the Vuma Mountains that overlook the Mkata Plains of the Mikumi below, Vuma is a cool retreat from the heat of a day's game drive. Mikumi National Park is situated near Ngorongoro and was established in 1964.
Vuma Hills boasts 16 comfortably furnished tents, so sleeping under canvas at the lodge is a far cry from discomfort usually associated with camps. All tents have en-suite bathrooms.
Rufiji River Camp
High up on the banks of the Great Rufiji River lies Rufiji River Camp. The camp was redesigned in 2009 and boasts classic tents, suites and a dining and bar area. This camp is in Nyerere National park.
The tents are all pitched underneath thatched roofs with massive verandas giving views up and down the river. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, with solar heated water for showering. There are 11 individual classic individual tents well-spaced along the river bank.
Rufiji has 3 suites, each with 2 large tents on a shared platform with private plunge pool. Each tent has its own stylish bathroom. The suites are ideal for families or friends wanting some extra space and privacy or the extra touch for the special anniversary or honeymoon.
With the focus on the river views and wildlife, the restaurant and bar are built to reflect this. Al fresco dining lit by star light, private dinners along the river bank or that end of the evening coffee sipped from the depth of a sofa in the upper level coffee lounge - it can be difficult to choose!
Katavi Wildlife Camp
Set on the edge of the Katisunga plain, nestled in the fringe of woodland that skirt this seasonal lake, Katavi Wildlife Camp blends seamlessly into its environment, enjoying one of the best views in the park.
Katavi Wildlife Camp comprises of 6 large Meru-style tents, overlooking the spectacular Kitasunga floodplain. Katavi National Park is raw, remote and little known.
Observing incredible wildlife action does not end after a game drive, with exciting action unfolding right in front of the rooms.
Mufindi Highland Lodge
Mufindi Highland Lodge was built in 1997 on the 2000-acre private estate. Surrounded by tea plantations, montane forest and rural villages, the area is away from any tourist route and maintains a natural charm.
